ROBOT PROGRAMMING CLASSES
The TechScience Australia robot programming classes are specifically designed to allow children to explore and enjoy the wonderful world of robotics. TechScience Australia are the Educational Partners in Sydney of MakeBlock, the makers of the educational mBot robots used in our program.

Some of the topics covered in our programs include:
Robotics - Get to explore and have hands-on experience with Robotics. Each week we’ll program a different fun robotic project such as Robot soccer, Disco Robot dance, LED animations and self-driving robot car to name a few.
Learn Programming using Scratch – Our robots use the Scratch visual programming language that was developed by MIT especially for teaching programming for children. It’s easy and fun and requires no previous experience.
Use different sensors and add-ons to enhance the abilities of the robots. These include Ultrasonic sensors to measure distances, Black line follower, light sensor, LED Matrix and mini- speakers to create music.
Develop algorithmic thinking – Algorithms are the corner stone for any programming language. The kids will get to use Loops, If-Then conditions, create and use Variables, understand algorithmic flow charts and other key components that provide the foundation for any programming language.
Explore control and connection methods – The kids will experiment with two main methods of interface with the robots – Wireless communication and via USB connection. They will learn and experience the pros and cons of each method.
Buy a robot and take it home! (Optional) - We can provide you with the mBot robots including mBot LED Matrix and 3D-Printed holder for an additional $165.
